Newsies tells the inspiring story of the Newsboys' Strike of 1899. The show follows a group of newsboys, led by the charismatic Jack Kelly, as they rally together to fight against powerful newspaper publishers. Through powerful and energetic music and dance numbers, Newsies highlights the importance of solidarity and standing up for what is right, even in the face of overwhelming adversity. Originally a Disney film, Newsies has become a beloved and critically acclaimed musical that has captivated audiences around the world.
The play runs May 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, and 20 at 7:00 pm in the Meadowdale Blackbox. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students, and $8 for students with ASB cards.
To purchase tickets, please click here for Meadowdale High students, and here for general admission. Seating will be self-directed, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Doors for each show will open at 6:30 pm. Limited tickets will be available for purchase at the door.
PLEASE NOTE: Online ticket sales close at midnight the day before each performance. For Saturday performances, ticket sales close at midnight the Thursday before the show. Tickets sold at the door are cash only.
